FBISE Matric Computer Science stream (SSC) includes: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, English (compulsory), Urdu (compulsory), Islamiyat (compulsory), and Pakistan Studies (compulsory). This stream replaces Biology with Computer Science compared to the Matric Science (Biology group) stream.
Does Matric Computer Science prepare students for ICS?
Yes — Matric Computer Science is the standard pathway to ICS (Intermediate Computer Science) in Class 11–12. ICS builds directly on the CS fundamentals, Mathematics, and Physics covered in Matric. Students completing Matric CS are well-positioned for ICS and subsequently for BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, and IT programs.
Can Matric Computer Science students still apply for FSc Pre-Engineering?
Yes. Matric Computer Science students can apply for FSc Pre-Engineering in Class 11, as both streams cover Mathematics and Physics. However, Matric Science (Biology group) is the more common pathway to FSc Pre-Medical, since it includes Biology.
