What subjects are in the Matric Science stream (Class 9 & 10)?
FBISE Matric Science stream (SSC) includes: Biology, Chemistry, Physics (elective group), Mathematics, English (compulsory), Urdu (compulsory), Islamiyat (compulsory), and Pakistan Studies (compulsory). Students in the Biology group study all three sciences; Computer Science group students replace Biology with Computer Science.
Does Matric Science prepare students for FSc Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering?
Yes — this is the direct pathway. Matric Science (Class 9–10) is the prerequisite for FSc Pre-Medical (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and FSc Pre-Engineering (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry).
